Aesthetic practitioner and trainer, Dr Brian Franks, talks to us about why he chose Consentz.

Tell us what you were looking for in a patient management system.
I was looking for a digital system to replace my paper records but I couldn’t find one that met my requirements. I needed a system that was secure and easy to use.

What made you choose Consentz, out of all of the systems available? 
I originally thought about going paperless because of the new GDPR regulations, which make it mandatory for all records to be safely stored. Consentz meets and beats those regulations, which is one less thing for me to think about.

One of the most exciting aspects of using Consentz is that I don’t have to carry around all my client records and paper notes – everything is stored on my iPad and is 100% safe and secure.

How was the transition from paper?
I was initially fearful of changing from paper to a paperless system and I know that many others will be too. However, Consentz is an extremely simple system to use – if I can use it, you can use it! The Consentz team made the transition simple, they are extremely professional and always on hand to help.

Does Conzentz have any features which really stand out?
There are many!

• On the consultation records you can have a selection of pre-edited data and information saved for each client. This saves a lot of time.
• The ‘face map’ allows me to use the clients photograph and add information on the treatment which has been completed, for instance, a botulinum toxin treatment – you can mark in the injection sites and the units that you’ve used. In the case of dermal fillers, you can draw in what fillers were used, where they have been used and add further information such as the name and type of product used.
• The patient app is another great tool. The patient can access treatment information and aftercare instructions. They can also update their medical history before they come to see you and you can contact them via the app.

Anything to add?
Consentz allows practitioners to offer a first class service to their patients. It is easy to use and has completely transformed my practice.
